POSTPONED Summer Series: Soil and Plant Health

Get to know the relationship between your soil and plant health in this short summer series at Summerhouse Community Farm.

Explore soil, compost and plant health topics in an informal friendly space. These short 90-minute sessions will be hosted by Dennis Touliatos and Diana McIntyre on five Thursdays 12:30pm to 2pm, from 16 July to 13 August. Come along to one or more sessions. 

Sessions will broadly cover: 

• Understanding soil and the role it plays in growing good food.
• Soil microbes – who are they and what do they do?
• Looking after soil.
• Composting to harness microbes and nutrients.
• Biofertilisers – what are they and how to make them.
