Spring Into Action ‘Bury Your Pants: a Fashion Revolution event’

Bury Your Pants is a joint project with Closing Loops and Lancaster Sewing Cafe that builds on the Sewing Cafe’s Interwoven event in 2024 and the quote from Rebecca Burgess above.

As part of Renew – Fashion Revolution Week 2025, the Bury Your Pants project will be officially launched during the event. Attendees will be invited to take part in the project to explore the health of their soil or compost bin by burying a small item of worn out clothing in some soil or a compost bin. Healthy soil with a lively food web will munch through pants in six to ten weeks depending on the time of year…

Packs will be available at the launch event that provide clear instructions on how to get involved and offer links for further information. Packs will also be available after the event at the Storey and in local libraries.
