Harvest Feast
You are warmly invited to the FoodFutures Harvest Feast: A time to share food, recipes, and stories about what has worked and what hasn’t. A time to meet fellow plotters, growers, chefs, and all those who are interested in local food.
Book your place here.
From 4 pm: Explore displays and stalls from local organisations on growing, composting, and sustainable food practices. Learn about FoodFutures and the benefits of eating locally grown food for your health and the environment.
At 4:30 pm: Watch a cooking demonstration of “Salsa Verde with Green Tomatoes” using local produce, with samples for tasting.
At 7 pm: We’ll all share a meal together. Please bring a plant-based dish (starter, main, or dessert) for yourself and three others. Homemade cordial, juice, or alcohol is also welcome. Meet fellow growers, chefs, and food enthusiasts, exchange tips and recipes, and enjoy an evening of community.

This event is part of Share the Harvest, a month-long festival celebrating locally grown varieties of apples and pears, rescuing unharvested fruit and raising awareness of food waste through a range of community events. FoodFutures and the Closing Loops project invite everyone in North Lancashire to pitch in and harvest, preserve, celebrate and of course eat apples and pears this autumn.
