FoodFutures and Closing Loops are seeking a researcher to explore the role of Community Collection Points in our local food infrastructure.

As part our 10-year Community Food Strategy work we are seeking a freelance researcher to undertake a scoping study about the feasibility and logistics of Community Collection Points as part of our infrastructure to distribute local food.

A district-wide survey has already been launched to collect views on the potential for using an online platform to enable local people to buy from a range of local suppliers and collect their orders from a collection point near their work, home or school. Community Collection Points can make local food more affordable by making savings on delivery and economies of scale, and they’re a convenient solution for people with busy lifestyles, limited mobility and other constraints. More information on the survey can be found here.

We are seeking a freelance researcher to complete this feasibility work by the end of February 2023.

A role and job brief are available here.

If you have the skills and experience to complete the work, and are available to work 100 hours on the project before the end of February, please send a CV and an outline of why you are well equipped to do this work to by 5pm on Tuesday, 6 December. If you would like to discuss the work, please also email in the first instance.
