Talk & Walk – Wildflowers
Discover the wonderful world of wildflowers in this talk and walk session. We will use hand lenses to look closely at some of the beautiful structural features of the plants in the indoor talk session. In the walk we will use these features in combination with apps and field guides to identify individual species. A short mindfulness exercise will also be included as part of the event.
There is a small charge of £8 (plus admin fee). Book a ticket here: https://wildlifewalk.co.uk/events/
This event will commence at the Friends Meeting House, Meeting House Lane in Lancaster.

More about North Lancashire Green Week
In June 2023, a range of organisations, groups, charities, businesses, individuals and change-makers in Lancaster, Morecambe and the Lune Valley region will be taking part in the largest nationwide event for climate and nature to highlight the need for urgent action in this area. The local North Lancashire Green Week highlights the need to come together to collaboratively address the climate and nature emergency and look at ways our local communities can work together to make a real and lasting difference.
The local programme of events is coordinated by FoodFutures, North Lancashire’s sustainable food network. It will include Lancaster’s Midsummer Market, an open day and celebration at Claver Hill Community Food Growing Project, the opening of a new play park at Greaves Park and a whole range of informative, fun, and engaging events and activities.
Get in touch if your group or organisation would like to add an event to the programme or needs to support with organising an event. All are welcome to join in for a fantastic range of events, markets, talks, walks and more.
