Spring Into Action: Plot tour, work session & lunch
Join the Plot team for a short tour of the Plot site and project, followed by a volunteering session and a simple lunch at the farm.
The Plot is a market garden growing organic fruit, veg, and herbs and training new growers. They run a certified organic system and grow on just over an acre at Old Holly Farm. They are a pioneer project, part of a long-term vision to bring back local veg and fruit production in North Lancashire.
The team will share their story, give you a tour, and you can also find out more about:
– How to become a crop-sharer and enjoy weekly produce from the farm.
– Support the initiative financially via the FoodFriends scheme.
– Volunteer at the Plot.
– Training on-site at the Plot and at other local growing sites.
After the tour (10-11am), you are welcome to join a volunteer work session (11-1pm) and a simple lunch (1pm) and chance to chat further.
