Lancaster’s Midwinter Market

Taste seasonally-inspired recipes, meet local food producers, and discover Lancaster’s bubbling local food and crafts scene.

On Friday 15 December from 10:00-17:00 Market Square and Market Street in the centre of Lancaster will be bustling with local food producers, community food projects, music and local craftspeople.

Lancaster’s Midwinter Market celebrates the midwinter season, the diversity of local food and crafts, and bring local farmers and independent businesses into the heart of Lancaster.

The Seasonal Markets are about buying from local, independent businesses as well as helping people repair and reuse things they already have. The Midwinter Market repair and mend stall will include:

  • Lancaster and Morecambe Makers who help with everything from apps to woodwork
  • Lancaster Sewing Cafe who will show you how to repair and re-purpose your clothes
  • Relic Plastic who make high-end products from plastic they recycle themselves
  • Sunflower Cycles who can advise on bike repairs

In addition to the repair and mend stall, we are looking forward to traders selling local organic produce, apples, preserves, eggs and bread, as well as street food, gin and specialty flours and nuts. Crafts people working with beeswax, yarn, jewellery, willow and much more will offer gifts and decorations for the season.
