Lancaster’s Harvest Market
Friday 15 September 2023, 10am-5pm.
Market Square, Lancaster LA1 1HT.
Celebrate the season with local food producers, crafts people, artists and musicians at the Harvest edition of Lancaster’s Seasonal Markets. There will be street food stalls, local produce, arts, crafts, community stalls and the launch of the autumn edition of North Lancashire’s community food magazine THRIVE.
New stallholders, volunteers and entertainers welcome
A few spaces for stalls may be available on the September market and there is definitely still space on the December seasonal market. The markets are also an excellent volunteering opportunity, from helping to set up or take down stalls to engaging market visitors, there is always plenty of rewarding work to do to help run your local community market. Entertainers – musicians as well as comedy – are also invited to perform.
If you’d like to join the market, please contact Andi Chapple on andi_CL@lessuk.org or 07891 908025.
The Harvest Market 2023 is part of Share the Harvest, a month-long festival celebrating locally grown varieties of apples and pears, rescuing unharvested fruit and raising awareness of food waste through a range of community events. FoodFutures and the Closing Loops project invite everyone in North Lancashire to pitch in and harvest, preserve, celebrate and of course eat apples and pears this September.
