Lacto-fermentation workshop: kimchi, sauerkraut and kvass

Would you like to learn how to make your own kimchi, sauerkraut and other fermented food?

This hands-on workshop will explore the environmental and health benefits of lacto-fermented food and will equip you with the skills and the confidence to make your own fermented food at home. Taste homemade lacto-fermented food in the workshop and take home your own filled jars and recipe cards.

The session will be run by Vaso Makri, coordinator of ‘A Taste of Home’ project at Global Link and who has a wide expertise of traditional fermentation methods from East Europe.

This workshop is open to people with no experience with an interest in getting started and people with previous experience who wish to refresh their knowledge or perfect their skills.

This event is hosted by Global Link and the Closing Loops Project as part of the FoodFutures ‘Spring into Action’ week of events.
