Apple glean in Bowerham

Saturday 24 August, from 10am.

The North Lancashire Gleaning Network is kicking off Share the Harvest with a small-scale apple glean up in Bowerham, in a residential garden.

If you’re interested in coming along to help pick apples that will get donated to Eggcup, sign up here or contact Closing Loops Gleaning Coordinator Jay at jay_CL@eggcup.org

Details about the location of the glean will be sent only to registered participants.

This event is part of Share the Harvest, a month-long festival celebrating locally grown varieties of apples and pears, rescuing unharvested fruit and raising awareness of food waste through a range of community events. FoodFutures and the Closing Loops project invite everyone in North Lancashire to pitch in and harvest, preserve, celebrate and of course eat apples and pears this autumn.
