If you have never visited Claver Hill before, come along to the AGM on April 23rd, this year, 1PM. Ridge Lane LA1 3JY. If you are a member or have been to one of our Open Days, you know where to find us. Come and celebrate with us.
We will hold a short meeting to elect the management committee members, one for each group. Followed by a summary of what has been happening over the last year and an opportunity to have a say for the seasons ahead.
Weather permitting, we will light the bonfire, share food, swap stories, and give tours to anyone interested. Natural Dyes will hold a pop-up workshop on bundle dyeing and Haps-zome, creating prints on fabric with flowers from 2:30pm onwards.
Another chance to purchase jams, chutneys, and cider. All proceeds go to the costs of running Claver Hill, including our public liability insurance. Horseshoe Flower Farm will have Spring flowers available for purchase. Horseshoe Farms run workshops from time to time. In July they will be exploring pollinators.
You may be inspired to become a member of Spud Club. We encourage people to come when they can and choose the tasks they enjoy and feel comfortable doing. Most people list the social contact as one of the top reasons for coming to Claver Hill, but don’t forget the fresh air, exercise, and chemical free veg you can take home. Members are welcome to donate £10 a year towards seeds as a contribution towards all the fantastic veg they take home.
Pick up a leaflet for the Nature Trail or scan the QR code and take a stroll around the Natural Flood Defences and the Conservation Project. Children can pick up one of the bingo sheets and challenge themselves to find all the natural wonders on each card.
All are welcome.
