DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Sewing Cafe Lancaster and FoodFutures.\nIn this special edition of the monthly book club, join us for a free screening of “The Gleaners and I”, a film about gleaners in France in all forms, from those picking fields after the harvest to those scouring the dumpsters of Paris.\n“A film for everyone who has stopped, in curiosity, to look at what someone else has discarded and, on occasion, taken it home.” Maria Garcia, Film Journal International\nNo need to sign up, just come in time for a 7pm start, upstairs at the Gregson Centre in Lancaster.\nOn the last Tuesday of each month, this book club meets at 7pm in the Olive Bar at the Gregson to discuss social and environmental issues that concern us all. Using a book, podcast or any other visual content as a starting point we gather together to learn from each other and draw ways forward in a friendly environment.
