DESCRIPTION:The Lancashire Climate Action Network (LancsCAN) are hosting a groundbreaking conference for 16-19 year olds on Wednesday 30th October 2024, 9:45am – 2:30pm, at Blackpool Sixth Form College.\nThe event will be:\n\nEngaging young people in tackling the causes of climate change and move to a more sustainable economy and society\nInforming young people of the growing wealth of opportunities for study and careers linked to sustainability\nBoosting young people’s knowledge and confidence about how they can act as agents of change in their communities\nGenerating ideas for further involvement and action, including the opportunity for delegates to lead a climate-related project in their community\n\nThe conference programme has been developed by young people, sustainability and education professionals and academics.
