SUMMARY:Going for Net Zero with LDCVS
DESCRIPTION:Aiming for net zero isn’t just essential for creating a liveable, sustainable world; it can also make your organisation more efficient in a variety of ways.\nThe latest in the LDCVS quarterly ‘Swop Shop Skill Share Network’ aims to share best practice and give practical advice on what we can do as third-sector organisations to help achieve net zero.\nBy the end of this session, you will understand:\n\nhow to assess your direct and indirect carbon impact\nhow to make changes that will reduce this\nhow to set sustainability targets\nwhat funding is available to help you reduce your footprint\n\nThe session will cover areas such as buildings and offices, transport, procurement and waste management. It will be facilitated by three experts in carbon reduction, all of whom have experience working with the third sector in the Lancaster district. You will have the chance to ask questions specific to your case.\nOur panel of experts:\n\nGeorgina Somerville (Green Rose Energy)\n\nDr Zoe Detko (Ardea Eco-innovation; formerly of Lancaster Environment Centre)\n\n\nDr Jan Maskell (Sustainability Consultant)\n\n\nThe session will be on Friday 19 April, 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Lancaster & Morecambe College Employer Hub, LA1 2TZ. It is free to attend, but places are limited and must be booked. The formal session ends at 12.30, but you are invited to bring along a pack lunch and network informally from 12.30 to 1. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.\nBook your place here:https://www.trybooking.com/uk/DINH\n
